Our People
Our employees are our biggest asset and we are committed to building Asanko into a high performance organization.
Ghana has a long history of gold mining and has a skilled workforce. Asanko's policy is to fill as many positions as possible at all levels with Ghanaians. We are pleased to report that we have been successful in meeting that goal with a predominantly Ghanaian workforce since 2007.
Currently, the majority of senior, middle-management, and technical employees at the Perfect Gold Limited are Ghanaian, and the vast majority of the contractors and sub-contractors we work with are Ghanaian and employ Ghanaians.
Perfect Gold is an equal opportunity employer and supports the principle that everyone has the right to work without suffering discrimination because of race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, national or ethnic origin, or physical handicap.OUR VALUES

Our employee training and development strategy is focused on programs and initiatives that clearly and affordably contribute to achieving our operational and strategic objectives, while at the same time providing opportunities for employees to advance knowledge and skills, contributing to their long-term employability in the industry.
As the mine ramps up, we expect to employ 1,330 people during the construction period in 2015 and approximately 653 permanent employees when we reach steady state production, which is targeted for Q2 2016.
