Communities
We are committed to being a good neighbor to our host communities. We have an experienced, all-Ghanaian Community Affairs department, based at the Asanko Gold Mine, who are dedicated to building positive relationships with the local communities.
Community investments are focused on improving sanitation, health, education, and community infrastructure. All investments seek to provide benefits that will be sustainable beyond the life of our operations and include contributions by local communities - generally in the form of communal labor - to engender shared responsibility and commitment to the investment.
